Ukrainian sugar producers invests in 400,000 ton per year oil seed processing plant

In the Ukraine, the Board of Directors of Astarta approved the decision to begin the implementation of a new investment project – the construction of a plant for processing oil crops, including soybeans and rapeseed, in Khmelnytsia region. The planned capacity of the future enterprise is 400,000 tons per year.

Total scope of investment will be $76 million. The commissioning of the plant is scheduled for 2026.

The project, which provides for the effective use of the existing infrastructure of agropromholding and will contribute to the development of the agro-industrial ecosystem in the Western region, was supported by the chairman of the Khmelnytskyi OVA Sergiy Turin. He visited the project site the other day. In addition to infrastructure development, the new enterprise will also provide new tax revenue to the local budget of Khmelnytsi region and the creation of new jobs for the residents of the community.
