In the Ukraine, the Transmission System Operator in Ukraine, GTSOU, has partnered with the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Program (UDEPP) to cooperate on the biomethane market development in Ukraine. The GTSOU’s representatives will participate in the executive body of UDEPP, known as the Coordination Committee.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is coordinating a collaboration between the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving (SAEE) and GTSOU, together with the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) will collaborate on tools development to promote sustainable biomethane market growth, offering both technical and legal assistance.
Although the regulatory framework for the biomethane market is already in place, there is still much work to be done to develop this new sector. Technical workshops and consultation, supported by the DEA will help interested Ukrainian stakeholders to define a joint action plan for the biomethane industry development in Ukraine.
