In Ukraine, the Odessa Journal reported that Ukraine’s corn exports last year amounted to $5.07 billion, representing 12.6% of global corn exports and 20.5% of the country’s total agricultural exports.
The information was reported by the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club association.
The report also noted that the key export destinations for Ukrainian corn last year were the European Union (49%), Turkey (12%), China (11%), Egypt (11%) and Israel (3%).
Future export growth depends directly on the stability of maritime logistics and continued access to key markets, the report added.
