Ukraine launches Coordination Council for the Development of Bioenergy Potential of Agriculture

In the Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has established a Coordination Council for the Development of Bioenergy Potential of Agriculture. The new body will help to unite the efforts of the authorities, business and experts aimed at developing the sphere and optimize the decision-making process. The Coordination Council will be headed by the Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksiy Sobolev.

The body included representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Communities and Territories for the Development of Communities and Territories, as well as other state bodies. To perform tasks, the Coordination Council may interact and involve representatives of public organizations, enterprises, experts and specialists, in particular foreign ones, to participate in the work. According to its powers, the Council will, in particular: promote coordinated work of ministries, other central executive authorities, local state administrations, expert environment in the field of bioenergy development; study problematic issues and offer ways to solve them; provide the Government with proposals to improve the relevant regulatory framework.
