In Türkiye, Aawsat newspaper reports the country is exploring a 5% sustainable aviation fuel blending mandate for 2030. Domestic oil refiners Tupras and Socar will also be ordered to being producing SAF to support the policy as 90% of the SAF blended will be required for loading from Turkish airports. Tupras announced earlier this year that it could already produce 20,000 tons of SAF by 2026. Local biofuel company DB Tarimsal Enerji also plans to produce 100,000 tons annually.
