In the UK, SAF Investor reported that Thai industrial engineering company TTCL announced that it has cancelled engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Bangchak for a SAF plant. The unit is projected to have a daily production capacity of approximately 1,000,000 liters and is scheduled for commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2024 with plans to convert used cooking oil into SAF. The work had already begun on the construction of the site, according to the report. “Please be informed that, on 13 June 2025, the company resolved to exercise its contractual right to terminate the EPC Contract with immediate effect. This decision was made to safeguard the company’s legitimate interests and to protect the interests of its investors,” TTCL said in a statement. “The company also intends to take any necessary legal action against relevant parties involved in the project to ensure the protection of the company’s and its shareholders’ rights, while considering the interests of all stakeholders,” it added.
