In Washington, Reuters reports that Trump Administration may delay the winding down of RIN credits applied to imported biofuels and biofuel feedstocks until 2027 or 2028 following push back from refiners who have invested in foreign fuels. The Trump Administration has been pushing an America First agenda that sought to cut in half the value of RIN production from foreign-produced fuels and feedstocks to boost investment in domestic production. Decisions on year-round E15, 2026 blending volumes and small refinery exemptions have been slowed down due to the concerns by the oil industry.
