In India, the Press Trust of India reports that the transportation minister last week urged the Indian Sugar Mills Association’s members to diversify beyond just sugar and ethanol but also into other kinds of energy production such as green hydrogen. He is encouraging the private sector invest to set up up more ethanol and compressed biogas pumps at filling stations, and to explore ethanol blending into diesel. He also suggested the opportunites for exports to countries including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
