Tosoh develops bio-based chlorosulfonated polyethylene

In India, India Chemical News reported that Tosoh Corporation has developed chlorosulfonated polyethylene from bio-based raw material and has established the technology for its mass production.

The report noted that this is the world’s first development of chlorosulfonated polyethylene using bio-based raw materials.

TOSO-CSM is widely used in industrial goods, adhesives, rubberized fabrics, handrails, and more. 

More than 90% of the carbon atoms in the product have been replaced with bio-based components, the report added.
