In Egypt, the Delegation of the European Union to Egypt and the Government of Egypt jointly hosted a conference titled “Sustainable Energy Horizons in Egypt 2040: Partnering for Shared Prosperity.”
The event aimed to review the key pillars of Egypt’s Energy Strategy 2040 and sign new agreements to accelerate Egypt’s transition toward clean and sustainable energy.
The conference’s highlights included the announcement of advanced contract negotiations for two major projects: the “Modernization of Egypt’s Electricity Transmission Network” and the “Egypt Green Hydrogen” project.
Additionally, the EU and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are supporting the “Egypt Green Hydrogen Project” in Ain Sokhna with a European contribution of $40.7 million.
