This $3.27M project, ending December 2024, aims to demonstrate a Near-Zero Emissions Concept via an integrated engine and aftertreatment simulation platform in GT-SUITE. Key achievements include calibrating an ORNL SCR model for catalyst aging (up to 500h aging data), and reducing computational cost for Urea-Water Solution (UWS) spray modeling to ~2000 CPU hours/second by using Lagrangian Eulerian simulations. The integrated model matches experimental cylinder pressure and performance parameters.
