This project develops “Pathways to Net Zero Mobility” by creating computational models (e.g., Shared Automated Vehicle, SAV) to evaluate system-level impacts of decarbonization strategies across connectivity, electrification, and multimodal operations. Utilizing the POLARIS framework, the research informs regional planning and policy. Analysis shows transit is critical to mobility, with service removal causing substantial economic and congestion impacts. The goal is to deliver detailed, implementable regional decarbonization plans for metropolitan areas.
