Oberon Fuels is focused on converting waste to renewable natural gas (RNG), methanol, and dimethyl ether (DME). They aim to produce over 200 million gallons per year by 2030. Their process involves anaerobic digestion of waste to biogas, which can then be upgraded to RNG or converted to renewable methanol and DME through catalytic distillation. Oberon has received EPA approval for its RFS pathway to generate D3 and D5 RINs for DME.
