In Thailand, Money & Banking Online reported that Thai Airways International (THAI) PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) and PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) announced a collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the use of SAF. This collaboration between the three companies is an important step in integrating research and development, production, and promoting the use of SAF fuel, from the use of raw materials from agricultural waste, fuel quality testing, to distribution and use in carbon offsetting, which will be an important foundation for expanding the use of clean energy in the Thai aviation industry, the report stated. In the first phase of the project, the production capacity will be 5,000 tons or 6 million liters per year and will be expanded to 25,000 tons or 24 million liters per year in the future, the report added.
