In India, Tecnimont Private Limited (TCMPL), the Indian subsidiary of TECNIMONT, Paradeep Municipality and the National Institute of Technology of Karmataka Surathkal (NITK) held the groundbreaking ceremony for the biogas plant at Paradeep Municipality, District Jagatsinghpur, Odisha.
The project aims to set up a small-scale facility to produce biogas to be used as cooking gas by using food and vegetable waste as feedstock. The plant is expected to be operational within the next 12 months to serve local communities.
Milind Baride, India Region Vice-President, MAIRE group said, “This facility reflects MAIRE group’s strong commitment to circularity, social responsibility, and economic sustainability in the communities it serves. It underscores TCMPL’s dual focus on environmental stewardship and social empowerment, offering a scalable model for similar renewable energy projects in the future.”
