In the UK, Kent Online reports the Syntech Biofuel facility has been given permission from the Medway Council to build a 1,600 sq/m production building and associated infrastructure extension to convert used cooking oil into biofuel. The $65.1 million project will provide fuel for the building sector, in this case specifically for the Lower Thames Crossing roads works, a $13 billion project that will connect Kent with Essex through a tunnel under the River Thames.
