In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that Chinese firm Sungrow Power Supply has set up a hydrogen technology laboratory in Munich, Germany, to advance water electrolysis and Power-to-X (P2X) technologies in line with Europe’s strict hydrogen development standards.
The firm’s European Hydrogen Technology Laboratory is located at Munich Airport Business Park and forms a closed-loop research and development (R&D) value chain, from material development to system validation, the report added.
The facility features four specialized labs, Physical, Optical, Chemical and Electrochemical, and is designed to allow future expansion. It adds to Sungrow Hydrogen’s 30-MW water electrolysis hydrogen production empirical platform, key materials research center and product research center, it added.
