In Spain, Industria Quimica reports CycleØ confirmed its application for a gas carrier license in Spain has been approved. This new status as a gas carrier further strengthens the company’s investment in Spain, allowing it to market and supply gas directly in the Spanish market. This confirmation is in addition to the three operational biomethane plants and the first private gas network injection point into the Spanish network, and follows a recent commitment to build, possess and operate up to 30 biogas plants in Spain.
The success of the request supports a significant commitment to the production of biogas and biomethane in Spain and is further proof of the company’s ambition to establish itself in the long term in Spain.
CycleØ, which can now act as a carrier, can market and supply generated biomethane at its three operating plants in Spain, located in Lleida and Vilanant. Once the 18 new plants currently under construction or in advanced processing come into service, the company will also be able to market or supply the gas of these plants to contribute to the decarbonization of the Spanish gas network.
