South Korea to construct hydrogen fuel cell power plant in Gyeongju

In the UK, Fuels Cells Works reported that the South Korean government has unveiled plans to establish the largest hydrogen fuel cell power plant in the country. Located in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, the Gangdong Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power Plant will be developed with a blend of public and private investments, according to the report. The report noted that the construction of the facility will start in March next year and is expected to be operational by March 2028. The project also expects to generate substantial economic benefits, including the creation of approximately 1,200 jobs.
