In Washington state, Elkhorn Media Group reports SkyNRG’s planned sustainable aviation fuel facility at the Port of Walla Walla has received approval by the port’s commissioners to sign contracts with both the company and the Department of Commerce. Commerce will provide SkyNRG with a $1.5 million non-construction grant to help with engineering, permitting and logistic studies. The Project Wigeon facility is expected to be online by 2029 producing 50 million gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel (RD) annually.
