In Washington state, SkyNRG says its Project Wigeon planned Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) facility in Eastern Washington has received environmental approvals from the Washington State Department of Ecology and Walla Walla County. These approvals demonstrate that the project meets state and local environmental standards, including requirements related to land use, water protection, and fuel transportation. This facility will be among North America’s first commercial-scale SAF projects producing jet fuel from renewable natural gas and is now able to enter its engineering phase.
