Singapore launches Asia Pacific sustainable aviation center

July 22, 2025 |

In New York, Travel and Tour World reported that Singapore has launched the Asia Pacific Sustainable Aviation Center (APSAC).

Founded by the CAAS, APSAC will be a platform for policy research, information exchange, cooperation and capacity building, in a bid to contribute to the development of sustainable aviation in the region.

The new trade group’s members range from big aviation companies like Airbus and Boeing to renewable fuel producers like Neste to major oil companies like Chevron and ExxonMobil.

To deliver on its broad mandate, APSAC will collaborate with Governments, the industry and academia to research, build capacity and make policies designed to meet the aviation sustainability goals of the region. APSAC will also initiate initiatives to facilitate carbon accounting and carbon market development to ensure that while aviation expands it also minimizes its environmental foot print, according to the report.
