Shanghai bank funds Eastern Pacific Shipping’s LNG ships

March 6, 2025 |

In China, Xinde Marine News reports Shanghai-based Puyin Financial Leasing signed a financing deal with Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping on February 25 for two LNG dual-fuel Neo-Panamax container ships under construction at Jiangsu New Times Shipbuilding.

The vessels are designed to meet IMO Tier III emissions standards, emphasizing fuel efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

EPS, one of the world’s largest independent shipowners with a fleet exceeding 300 vessels, has been at the forefront of shipping’s green transition. The agreement further strengthens its commitment to alternative-fuel tonnage, while reinforcing Puyin’s role in ship financing and industrial support for Chinese shipyards.
