In Germany, Platts reports RWE is aiming for commercial production at Europe’s largest green hydrogen plant in 2026 with commissioning already underway. The first phase of the 300MW GET H2 Nukleus project will be 100MW at the Lingen, Germany facility that will supply hydrogen to TotalEnergies’ Leuna refinery. The first phase is already nearly double the currently largest facility in Europe, BASF’s 54-MW proton exchange membrane electrolyzer in Ludwigshafen that started up in March, and while other 100MW projects are under construction, the Lingen facility should be fully operational by 2027.
