In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that German energy company RWE AG has signed a deal with ITM Power to reserve 150 MW of the British PEM electrolyzer supplier’s latest generation green hydrogen plant solution.
The agreement relates to the reservation of 30 NEPTUNE V units, with call-offs by 2027. ITM explained that each NEPTUNE V unit integrates all necessary balance of plant within a container that enables rapid deployment, simplified installation, and reliable operation. The units can be interconnected to form bigger container-based plants.
The Sheffield-based firm previously supplied a 4-MW pilot plant to RWE and is currently working to deliver 200 MW of electrolyzers for the GetH2 Nukleus project in Lingen, Germany.
