In Romania, BSOG Energy, an energy company focused on developing biomethane production plants across Romania owned by Black Sea Oil & Gas, and Unigrains Trading, a company that manages approx. 3,300 hectares of cereal farming land in Constanta County and one of the main seed producers in the southern part of Romania, announce the signing of a cooperation agreement for a combined biomethane and biofertilizer production facility. The facility aims to produce 57 MW of biomethane and over 250,000 tons of organic fertilizers per annum.

Under the co-operation agreement, Unigrains will provide the raw feedstock waste material for the production plant and will hold and manage the rights of the resulting fertilizers to the wholesale and retail markets.

BSOG Energy will be responsible for building, owning and operating the plant and managing the biomethane production.

The overall investment in the facility is estimated to exceed EUR 65 million, while project execution is expected to complete in approximately 2 years.
