Repsol pulls out of planned green hydrogen project

In Spain, Europa Press reports the green hydrogen generation plant designed by Hydric Power SL at the facilities of the former thermal power plant of La Sevillana, in Puertollano, an initiative promoted by RIC Energy and Repsol, will not continue its development, once the “technical and economic instability” of the project has been observed after the completion of the studies and work prior to the final investment decision.

This has been confirmed to Europa Press by sources familiar with the project, who have acknowledged that the plant will not be able to move forward, for the time being, given its cost and technological challenges.
