Poland’s lauches first biomethane facility to connect to national gas network

In Poland, the first biomethane facility in Poland was attached to the gas network of the Polish Gas Company. The installation in the sugar factory in Strzelino (Lower Silesian Voivodeship) belongs to the company of Sudzucker – the largest sugar producer in Europe – and due to its energy potential is a unique investment in Europe. Biogas, produced from plant residues from sugar beet, biogas will be used for the own needs of the Sagittar Sugar Plant, while its surpluses in the form of biomethane will be forced into the net by a 9-kilometer gas pipeline, the construction of which was completed by the construction of the company, and the Polish Gas Company has been finalized at the beginning of the year.
