In Indonesia, Antara News Agency reports PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) strengthens the supply chain and encourages the standardization of biomass processing through the operation of the Batikmalaya and Ciamis Biomass Hub, West Java. “This biomass hub not only serves as a production facility, but also as a quality strengthening center and certainty of biomass supply to the power plant,” said Director of Bioenergy PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) Hokkop Situngkir in his statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Operational Hub Biomass Tasikmalaya and Ciamis are part of strengthening the national biomass ecosystem based on the concept of a spoken hub. The Batikmalaya and Ciamis Biomass Hubs were developed as pilot projects that integrate local biomass potential, such as wood waste and palm powder waste, with processing facilities, quality testing, to distribution to Steam Power Plants (PLTU). The existence of this hub is expected to increase the quantity and quality of biomass, strengthen the supply chain, and encourage the standardization of biomass processing at the national level.
