In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that Swedish green hydrogen technology firm Plagazi has been selected to receive a $ 32.1 millopn grant from the EU Innovation Fund to advance its flagship project for waste-to-circular hydrogen production. Plagazi develops technology that can convert all types of waste, including non-recyclable, into green hydrogen through plasma gasification by exposing it to a temperature higher than 3,000°C. The EU support will help it scale its projects, according to the report. Earlier this year, Plagazi attracted the European Investment Bank (EIB) as a partner in its Koping Hydrogen Park (KHP) project in Sweden. The KHP project targets a production capacity of 12,000 tons of green hydrogen annually from 66,000 tons of unrecyclable waste and will provide the Koping municipality with 10 MW of district heating, the report added.
