In Brazil, Valor International reports Petrobras expects to begin producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel by the end of the year. It already ran co-processing tests at its Duque de Caxias refinery (Reduc) in Rio de Janeiro where it included 1.2% corn oil into standard fossil-based aviation kerosene. It begins to produce 10,000 barrels per day of this fuel by December, whereas it has Alcohol-to-Jet plans to produce a similar amount at its Paulínia refinery (Replan) in São Paulo state in the next five years.
