In Brazil, Petrobras recently obtained the international ISCC EU RED certificate for the commercialization of bunker with renewable content at the Rio Grande Terminal (TERIG), in Rio Grande do Sul. The VLS (Very Low Sulfur) B24, produced by Petrobras, is the result of mixing mineral-based bunker with 24% biodiesel. In July 2024, Petrobras was the first company in the country to obtain authorization from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to commercialize marine fuel with renewable content. The ISCC EU RED certification now obtained seals a work that began with product testing at the end of 2022, at TERIG itself.
