In Brazil, Aero Magazine reported that Brazilian energy company Petrobras officially began producing and delivering sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Brazil.
In the first phase, 3,000 m3 of SAF were produced, a volume sold to fuel distributors at Rio de Janeiro’s international airport, according to the report.
The product was certified after meeting the rules of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), the report added.
