Peru signs deal with Praj for 600,000 liter/day

In Peru, Reuters reports Paraguayan company Enersur, which produces biofuels and animal feeds, announced on Wednesday it signed an association-sharing agreement with India’s Praj Industries to build a plant that will produce up to 600,000 liters of ethanol per day. Enersur President Omar Bustos said in a video released by the Paraguayan presidency that the $150 million deal will position the country in global biofuel production. The plant will be located in the department of Canindeyú, about 280 kilometers northeast of Asunción, the presidency said.
