In Indonesia, Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) signed a cooperation agreement with PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), Pertamina’s Integrated Marine and Logistics Sub Holding to strengthen the synergy between PIS and PNRE in developing a renewable energy-based transportation business, especially related to the transportation of green hydrogen and other sustainable fuels.
In addition, based on a feasibility study conducted by PNRE, it shows that hydrogen transportation costs, both in the form of ammonia and methanol, account for a significant portion of the landed cost of hydrogen (LCOH) in the target market. This collaboration is expected to reduce transportation costs and create efficiencies.
