In Pakistan, Mettis Link News reported that Pakistan Oxygen Limited is planning an investment to set up a hydrogen production facility at Port Qasim, as the company looks to expand its footprint in the industrial gases segment and meet growing demand from strategic customers. The report noted that the new plant will supply hydrogen under a 15-year agreement signed with a leading speciality chemicals manufacturer, the company said in notification issued to the local stock exchange. The facility is expected to meet high operational standards and bolster the company’s capacity amid rising interest in hydrogen as a clean energy source and industrial input, the report added.
