In China on July 11, Chimbusco Pan Nation delivered Hong Kong’s first supply of B30 marine gasoil to Orient Overseas Container Line, marking the shipping line’s first use of the fuel blend in the port.
The milestone operation also included a simultaneous delivery of B30 high-sulfur fuel oil, demonstrating what the company called its ability to meet “varied and complex” industry needs. The deliveries were completed in a single operation. No details were provided on the volume, vessel, or biodiesel feedstock.
Chimbusco Pan Nation said it is now the first supplier in the region capable of offering a full suite of ISCC-EU certified marine biofuels, including both marine fuel oil and marine gasoil. The company stated the supply “further establishes CPN’s leading position in green marine fuel in East Asia” and shows its “determination to promote sustainable shipping.”
