In Canada, Ontario government approved an investment of more than C$165 million by the Convertus Group to build a new, state-of-the-art biofuel facility in York Region, converting organic waste into renewable energy. Leveraging the province’s skilled workforce, this investment will create 52 good-paying jobs for the local economy and further position Ontario as a leader in waste treatment, processing and renewable energy. In support of Convertus Group’s investment, Ontario is providing C$2 million in funding through the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness (AMIC) stream of the Regional Development Program (RDP).
