NTPCGreen Energy signs MOU with Assago for green urea in India

In India, NTPCGreen Energy Limited (NGEL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assago Industries Private Limited on February 2, 2026 at NTPC Bhawan, New Delhi. The MoU is for the supply of green ammonia, carbon dioxide, renewable energy power and other related utilities for the production of 1,000 TPD of green urea.
The urea plant is proposed to be set up at the NGEL Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka (near Visakhapatnam), AndhraPradesh. The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials from NGEL, NTPC and Assago.
