Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen corridor seeks market inputs

January 22, 2026 |

In Hungary, CEEnergy News reported that The Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor (NBHC) project has launched a formal “Call for Interest,” which invites energy stakeholders to help design the NBHC.

The initiative is led by six European gas transmission system operators. They are seeking non-binding data from hydrogen producers, consumers, and storage providers in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Germany. The goal is to gather market signals on production volumes, distribution needs, and cross-border flows to guide the project’s infrastructure development, according to the report.

The survey remains open until 31 March 2026. Following the data collection period, the NBHC plans to engage respondents in detailed discussions, potentially leading to the signing of non-binding Letters of Intent (LoI) to further solidify the project’s roadmap, the report added.

NBHC completed its prefeasibility in June 2024 and entered the feasibility phase in 2025. National and crossborder studies are expected to conclude in early 2027, it added.
