In Lithuania, Nord Steel said that MT Group, a European energy infrastructure development company supplying equipment for the first green hydrogen production and refueling station at the Port of Klaipėda, has selected Nord Steel as the manufacturer and supplier of hydrogen storage tanks. Nord Steel, which operates three steel fabrication units in Lithuania, has committed to designing, manufacturing, and delivering three advanced green hydrogen storage tanks to the Klaipėda port. These include a 40-bar green hydrogen buffer tank and two hydrogen storage tanks capable of withstanding pressures of 550 bar and 1000 bar. “We see the Klaipėda Port green hydrogen station project as an opportunity to set a benchmark for such facilities across the Baltic region. Our primary focus is ensuring the highest safety and quality standards,” asserts Remigijus Kurgonas, CEO of Nord Steel.
