NG Nordic and SWIX team up to produce CCU-based winter sports equipment

In Finland, NG Nordic and SWIX have joined forces to develop high-performance winter sports equipment using the world’s first plastic made from CO₂ captured from waste incineration. The development collaboration will start by transforming captured carbon dioxide emissions into ski wax boxes. 

The partnership brings together NG Nordic’s pioneering Carbon2x technology, which converts captured CO₂ into sustainable raw materials, and SWIX’s innovation leadership in high-performance, PFAS-free ski products. Together, the companies aim to redefine how materials are sourced and used in the outdoor sports industry – proving that climate-positive innovation can go hand in hand with durability, functionality, and world-class performance.
