In India, BioEnergy Times reported that the Nebraska Corn Board has opened applications for its Blender Pump Grant Program, aiming to expand access to higher ethanol fuel blends at fuel stations across the state.
Under the program, fuel retailers can apply for grants of up to $50,000 per location to install equipment that supports mid- to high-level ethanol blends such as E15, E30 and E85, according to the report.
The report noted that the initiative is intended to encourage wider availability of ethanol-blended fuels, including E85, by helping retailers cover part of the cost of upgrading or installing compatible infrastructure.
