December 30, 2024 |

In Mumbai, a “MycoMuseum” has been established to highlight how fungi can be used to sustainably create everyday items. Curated by Suyash Sawant and Bhakti Vinod Loonawat of Anomalia, a design collective, the exhibition includes mycelium furniture and material designs.

The exhibit includes biodegradable blocks and wall system named MycoBlox, from by MYCL Bio and ROHA; clothing named “MycoCore” by Anomalia and fashion designer Anushé Pirani in collaboration with Mycl Bio; MycoLiving textile by Mycl Bio’s Mylea, a mycelium-based leather; and packaging by ROHA and student work from the L. S. Raheja School of Architecture.

The designs were showcased as part of the Conscious Collective event in early December 2024.
