The information is contained in a ministerial diploma, which also states that any company producing vegetable or animal oil, as well as the molasses intended for the production of pure biofuels, must go on to “allocate part of said production to the domestic market”, in this case, 1% of what it produces in the first five years, 2% from the sixth year and 3% after the tenth year.
The document clarifies that “there is a need to boost the production of vegetable oil, animal, as well as molasses to obtain pure biofuels, through the viability of their projects and ensure the export of them in a sustainable way, including the easing of the introduction of the mandatory mixture of imported biofuels”.
The publication adds that the producing company must report, on a monthly basis to MIREME, the quantities allocated to the domestic market, including the designation of companies that buy vegetable or animal oil and molasses, for their processing with a view to obtaining pure biofuels.
“In the absence of companies taking vegetable or animal oil, as well as molasses, these products must be allocated to the national fuel distribution company, through the conclusion of a contract for this purpose, considering the commercial market conditions,” he concluded.
