In California, Grand View Research reported that the Middle East bio-based plastics market size is projected to reach $813.7 million by 2033, up from $409.1 million in 2024
The research firm noted that the market is forecast to expand at a CAGR of 8.0% from 2025 to 2033. Improvements in bioprocessing and chemical conversion are continually reducing production costs and improving yields, the report said.
Saudi Arabia dominated the Middle East bio-based plastics market with the largest revenue share of 54.81% in 2024 and is expected to grow at a substantial CAGR of 8.4% from 2025 to 2033, the report added.
By product, the PLA (polylactic acid) segment is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.2% from 2025 to 2033 in terms of revenue.
