Malaysia trialing 1% SAF blending mandate

In Malaysia, the New Straits Times newspaper reports that the country will test out a 1% sustainable aviation fuel blending mandate for international flights departing from Kuala Lumpur international airport. EcoCeres began producing SAF in October, ensuring domestic supply. The facility has the capacity to produce 350,000 metric tons of SAF annually. Introducing the trial mandate is part of the country´s wider decarbonization plans, including the Malaysia Aviation Decarbonisation Blueprint (MADB) and the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR.
