Malaysia decides against boosting biodiesel mandate to 20%

February 26, 2025 |

In Malaysia, Channel News Asia reports the commodities minister said the government has ruled against boosting its biodiesel blending mandate to 20% from the current 10% due to required infrastructure investment requirements that neither the public nor private sector are willing to take on. Labuan and Langkawi as well as the state of Sarawak except Bintulu do have a 20% blending mandate, however.
