In Latvia, GasWorld reports the country is set to open its first biomethane injection point into the national gas network this summer. This will allow producers to supply to the grid via truck even if they don’t have a direct access point. The project, which is funded by the European Union, is expected to be the first such injection point with others planned around the country in light of increased biomethane production nationally. This is the gas network’s first move into renewables.
