In Georgia, Bloomberg reports that LanzaJet plans to open its delayed $200 million ethanol-to-jet facility in September. Equipment issues forced the late start that was meant for last year after it imported Brazilian ethanol to pilot its SAF production. But it expected to be fully operational before the end of the third quarter. Using imported feedstock means it won’t be eligible for the 45Z production credit but the facility will start off using it because currently most US feedstocks don’t have sufficient greenhouse gas savings.
